Should still be under warranty. Call an Acer Service Center or Partner in your region for professional assistance.

If the Predator mode switch key on your Acer Predator laptop is not working, it could be a software or hardware issue. Try updating PredatorSense and your GPU drivers, checking Windows power settings, and resetting the BIOS.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of potential solutions:
    1. Software and Driver Issues:
    Update PredatorSense:
Ensure you have the latest version of the PredatorSense software installed from Acer's website.
    Update GPU Drivers:
Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can sometimes cause issues with performance modes. Update your Nvidia or AMD drivers, depending on your laptop's GPU according to Acer Community.
    Check Windows Power Settings:
Verify that Windows power settings are configured to allow mode switching. Sometimes, specific power plans can interfere with performance modes.
    Reinstall PredatorSense:
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the PredatorSense software to rule out a corrupted installation, according to Acer Community according to Acer Community.
    Check for Windows Updates:
Make sure your operating system is up to date, as sometimes updates can address compatibility issues.

    2. Hardware and Physical Issues:
    Check for Physical Damage:
Inspect the keycap and the surrounding area for any signs of damage or debris that might be obstructing the switch.
    Try a Different USB Port:
If you're using an external keyboard, try plugging it into a different USB port to rule out a faulty port.
    Hard Reset:
Some users have reported that a hard reset (unplugging from the wall and removing the battery, if possible, then plugging back in and restarting) can resolve the issue says Driver Easy.
    Keyboard Replacement:
If the issue persists and you suspect a hardware problem with the keyboard itself, you may need to consider replacing it.
    3. BIOS and Firmware:
    Reset BIOS:
Resetting the BIOS to default settings can sometimes resolve unexpected behavior related to performance modes according to Acer Community.
    Update BIOS:
Updating the BIOS to the latest version can also address potential compatibility issues.
