When i turn on any game it starts flickering with pixels as seen on the image. I have updated reinstalled and updated drivers (GeForce 940M). If i disable this GPU and let games run on default intel, than it works. I suspect its more of a software issue than a hardware, since this laptop has only been used to watch movies and use the browser, so there should not have been any serious use of GPU. Any suggestions?

Might help if you could reveal model number and Windows version. For example, A515-51G? Win10?

Press WIN+R. Enter 'msinfo32'. What is BIOS version/date in right pane?

I tried updating bios. So i went to acer website under Drivers and Manuals to indentify my acer device. After entering serial number or SNID it says it was not found. I used serial number detection utility to be sure i did no mistake, Is there another way to update bios?

    Enter "E5-772G" instead of SNID.

I have successfully updated my bios to the latest version but the problem still persists. Could it be that the latest nvidia drivers do not work? Maybe i should downgrade to old drivers?

Yes, the proprietary ACER nvidia VGA drivers from Acer downloads for the proprietary Acer mainboard should be used, not the generic nvidia drivers. Just because a driver might have a newer date stamp doesn't mean it should be applied if there are no issues with the older driver.

On acer drivers page i entered E5-772g and downloaded VGA nvidia drivers. Extracted the folder and ran setup. "This graphic driver could not find compatible graphic hardware" (as seen on image)

Post a screenshot of Device Manager as it opens. Don't manually expand any Device Manager folders.
