Hey mynamedoesntmatter there are allot of Acer Aspire 1 laptop models which model are you talking about? If its the new Aspire 1 model A114-33-C5U1 that runs Win-11 and your laptop is under warranty send it to Acer support in your country. Give us more details on which model you have.

Method 1: Try to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

a. Press Windows key+X.
b. Click on Control Panel.
c. Click on Troubleshooting.
d. On the left pane, click on view all.
e. From the list, double click on Hardware and Devices.
f. Run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: I suggest you too try the below and check if it helps.

1. Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
2. In Device Manager, expand Imaging Devices and right click on the driver.
3. Click on Properties, click on Driver tab, click on Update Driver.

Method 3: Install all available Windows Updates, including Optional Updates; this might fix the issue. Refer to the following steps.

1. Press Windows key + X. Select Control Panel.
2. Click on Windows Update.
3. Click Check for Updates. After the scan is complete, click Review optional updates.
4. Click the check box next to the updates, then click Install updates.
5. If prompted, review the license agreement, then click I Accept.
6. Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the updates.
7. If prompted, reboot your computer.

Also Visit the drivers and manual site to download the web cam driver. Make sure you choose the appropriate operating system.
Uninstall your current web cam driver and install the drivers you downloaded.
Once installed, restart your notebook.
