Acer Aspire 3's keyboard and mouse, you can start by restarting your laptop, as sometimes a simple restart can resolve hardware issues. Next, connect an external keyboard and mouse to see if they work, which will help you determine if the issue is with the internal hardware. Update the drivers for your laptop's keyboard and touchpad from the Acer support website and restart your laptop after installation. Check Device Manager by pressing Windows Key + X and looking for any yellow exclamation marks next to the keyboard or touchpad entries. If you see any, try updating or reinstalling the drivers.

Additionally, the keyboard can go faulty mainly due to its connecting cable to the mainboard. This cable can come loose, or its pins can become corroded. Carefully open the laptop and disconnect the keyboard cable, then clean the mainboard keyboard plug and the keyboard cable pins before reconnecting the cable to see if this resolves the issue. Especially since your laptop is less than 8 months old it is still under warranty, it's best to contact Acer support
