Brand new Acer Nitro 16 have stopped charging.

I recently purchased an Acer Nitro 16 laptop, which worked perfectly for the first four days. However, I encountered a problem where the laptop displayed a "low battery" message despite being connected to the charger. The battery level eventually dropped to a critical low, and now the laptop does not respond to the charger being plugged in. The charging indicator lights up for only 2-3 seconds before turning off, and now there is no response at all.

Could this be an issue with the power adapter, the laptop's charging port, or the battery itself?

    • Do not use the Acer Care Centre 80% Battery Charge Limit as it may reduce battery charge efficiency. Keep your battery charging while using your laptop as a desktop and maintain a full charge
    • Ensure your BIOS is updated to the latest version. For the Nitro V16 model ANV16-41, the latest BIOS update includes an "Update Acer Battery Adaptive Charging function."
    • Install the latest Nvidia drivers using the Nvidia GeForce Experience software. Always perform a clean install for the best performance.
    • Ensure that you are using the correct power adapter (135W / 19.5V/6.92A) and check if the charging port is functioning properly. If the charger only works in a specific position, the port might be loose or damaged.
    • Sometimes new batteries need a full charge cycle to calibrate correctly. If your battery health is low, it might need to be replaced.
    • Given that your laptop is new and still under warranty, it’s best to contact Acer support for assistance. They can help diagnose whether the issue is with the power adapter, charging port, or the battery itself.

The problem is the power supply which worked properly only 4 days.

Make sure that the charging pin is pushed all the way in. Or bring back to the store for warranty.
