Hi, I am looking for assistance with the battery charging, when I am on the laptop with the charger on the battery still drains, when I put the battery on charge the charging light comes on but the battery level is not increasing, the laptop is 6 months old, not sure if this is a battery or charger issue. I had the battery charge set to 80%. The battery does charge sometimes but this time its not charged at all after leaving it for 2 hours, please advise, thank

you,

Which Swift Go 14 model do you have? There have been a number of different ones over the years. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like SFG14-xxx-xxxx. Are you using the stock charger or one from a third party? You really don't want to have the charge set at 80%, that causes you to have limits that affect the performance of the machine.

Hi thank you for your reply, its a Swift SFG14-72, I am using the stock power charger but I am unsure if its the charger the port or the battery, its taken over 8 hrs from zero to 57%. really not sure what to do but Im thinking of returning to the store to let them work on it, but that store is in a different country…If you have any ideas that would be great, thanks.

The stock charger for your SFG14-72 is a 100W USB-C design, and that should charge relatively quickly unless you are really running the laptop hard at the same time. Does it charge much faster if you have the laptop sleeping or off while charging?
