Hello All,

I got my notebook since 1 year and didn't have anything to complain about until now.

Today I learned, that GPU fan started to behave strange.

First of all, while playing a game I started to notice, that GPU fan turns off/on and operates at rapidly changing (up/down) rpms, which was not the case before.

Secondly, I tried to solve this issue by:
- reinstalling drivers/applications which can influence fan operation e.g. Nitro sense,
- multiple system reboots,
- removing the fan and cleaning it and surrounding elements,
- I tried to find someone thread with similar issue as mine,
but none of above solutions worked for me.

What else is interesting:
- when I'm writing on the keyboard I can constantly notice, that GPU turns on/off, like it's responding to HW interrupts caused by writing,
- when I give a notebook gentle side slap in the area where GPU fan is located (cheers to slavic engineering) it also turns on/off.

Below I attached two screenshots, taken one after another after pressing some keyboard keys.

TBH, I'm not able to trace root of these issues, so I hope someone can support me here.

Best regards!

    Hi @hubertusOdysej

Please go through the below thread weblink and if possible could you please try to clean the GPU fan: If not then it has to be cleaned by the Acer trained technician and for that please carry laptop to your laptop to the nearby Acer Authorized Service Center/ any Acer Stores.

Please update us the status at once you have done the above activity.

    Hello,

Thanks for the answers guys @Israr @Joe_Kingsley

I guess I found root cause —> In December, on the day when I travelled with my notebook temperature outside was nearby 0 Celsisus degrees. When I got home after few hours I immediately took notebook out of the bag and left it on the desk.
I guess due to the water condensation one of the fans got damaged.
I replaced it with the new one some time later and do not experience any difficulties from that time.
Guess I was lucky, that only fan was damaged 😎
