Gaming Monitor 32in backlight failing?

Hello,

I bought this monitor on September 5 2024 and I noticed after a week or two that the backlighting on the right side of the display was flashing, but I thought it was my eyes playing some tricks on me. Then I noticed that the lighting on this side of the screen is often darker.

Lately this flashing has intensified, to the point where I'm getting worried about it. Since not even three months have passed can I get some replacement or get it fixed?

I've uploaded a video where I show this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CBzZN04IGeP_SImBMNDxgGjOQFMtL8YZ/view?usp=drive_link

Thanks in advance.

Definitely the backlight issue on the right side. You can contact the local Acer or the retailer that you bought the monitor from for a replacement.

Fixing the backlight on a monitor can involve several steps, depending on the issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

    Check Power Connections
Ensure that the monitor is plugged in properly and that the power outlet is functioning.

Look for any power indicator lights on the monitor.

    Adjust Brightness Settings
Use the monitor's built-in menu to check and adjust the brightness settings. Sometimes, the brightness can be accidentally turned down.

    Inspect Cables
Check the video cables (HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, etc.) for any damage or loose connections. Reconnect them to ensure a secure fit.

Try using a different cable or port if available. Test with Another Device
Connect the monitor to a different computer or laptop to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem lies with the monitor or the original device.

    Update Drivers
Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Go to the manufacturer's website or use a driver update tool.

    Check for Display Settings
On your computer, go to display settings and ensure that the monitor is detected correctly. Adjust the resolution and refresh rate if necessary.

    Perform a Factory Reset
If your monitor has a menu option for a factory reset, try this to restore the default settings.

    Inspect for Hardware Issues
If the backlight is completely off, it could indicate a hardware failure, such as a faulty inverter (for older LCDs) or LED backlight issues.

    Professional Repair
If none of the above steps work, it may be time to consult a professional technician.
