My nitro ANV15-51 laptop overheating issue on Core 3 of i9-13900H processor

Hello,
I need help with my Nitro V15-51 gaming laptop. It is equipped with an i9-13900H processor, 40GB of RAM, and an RTX 4060 GPU.

Since I purchased it, I have noticed that Core 3 of the processor seems to overheat. Below, I’ve attached an image showing the temperatures recorded using the Hardware Monitor software shortly after turning the laptop on.

I would like to know if this is normal behavior for this type of processor or if it could indicate a manufacturing defect. If it is the latter, I would like to know if I should use my warranty to address it.

Additionally, I would appreciate any recommendations for properly maintaining the laptop. I purchased it primarily for gaming, as I enjoy playing the latest AAA titles. However, I also use it for work, including virtualization tasks and Docker environment management.

The Nitro ANV15-51 and its i9-13900H is designed for high temps and for the thermal policy ratings below, the temp range for your cpu shown by HWMonitor show that the cpu is running at a min 43C to max 86C averages at 53C overall temp, so the cou is not overheating. Don't worry about that high spike as its normal and all cpu middle cores overheat more than the other cores, its normal, my Nitro with the i7-11370H cpu core 1 is 12C above the rest of the cores 0,2 and 3.

Thermal Policy for CPU (CPU Tj=100c) on the Nitro ANV15-51

CPU TCC offset: Trigger = 100c
OS Shut down: Trigger = 110c, Need De-bounce 6 times
EC Shut down: Trigger = 110c, Need De-bounce 6 times
H/W Shut down Sensor: Trigger = 85c
GPU Target temp: 87c

Also check that the UEFI firmware of your Nitro V15 ANV15-51 is updated with the latest available version (1.21 or higher):

Because according to the changlog, there has been thermal optimization and also a CPU microcode update.

If the core 3 high-temperature affects your usage, you can ask the local Acer to replace the thermal paste. Defect thermal paste application can usually cause hot spot where some of the cores heat up quickly than the other.
