Seeking advice on upgrading Acer TC-895 with RTX, PSU and Motherboard rehousing?

I currently have an Acer TC-895 and have recently bought a RTX 3060 12Gb Gaming Graphics Card. when i tried to install it, i noticed the graphics card was too big to fit inside the current casing which is one of the reasons i plan to rehouse the motherboard into a bigger case.

my concerns are;

can the motherboard be rehoused?

can i upgrade the PSU to an 850W Gigabyte P850GM V2 80 Plus Gold PSU?

will the RTX 3060 12GB Graphics Card fit/work on the current motherboard?

i am in no way an IT expert. i tend to ask friends who have better knowledge or look online for help which is why i am here and would appreciate any help and advice on this. all i want to do is game on my PC!

You can fit the motherboard into most cases, but you lose access to those front ports. Most cases don't have provisions for them and expect them to be on cables instead of placed on the MB. You can't easily change the power supply, since it uses an ATX12VO design. You will likely need at least 500W to run the 3060.

thanks for the response. so i can rehouse the motherboard and understood regarding the front ports, i may be able to do some cable management for those otherwise i'm not too fussed about losing access to them. my biggest concern is upgrading the PSU. i am looking to purchase the 850W gigabyte P850GM V2 and from looking at the ports, it seems like the ATX12VO adapter cable would fit but my question is, would it work?

i just don't know whether to buy a new PC and install the graphics card or try to upgrade my current set-up to save money…

The Gigabyte power supply does have enough power on the 12V rail to bump your specs up enough for many GPUs. You will need an adapter though, they don't have a cable to pull the 12VO spec out to match the motherboard. You need an adapter that takes the 24 pin output of the supply and breaks out the needed +12V, GND, PS_On and PS_Sense into the 6 pin connector for the motherboard. I don't see anything on the Gigabyte page that leads me to believe they include the adapter, and there are a couple of possible adapter types that fit different manufacturers implementation of the 12VO standards. Some use a 10 pin cable, some use a 6 pin and a 4 pin. Acer uses the latter, and on some of their higher end models a 6 pin and 8 pin or a 6 pin and two 4 pin. The key is the 6 pin though…
