Just bought this monitor and i like the HDR, i had AOC Q27G3XMN which is also very pretty in HDR but it ran so hot that i wasn't able to enjoy it due to its radiant heat from the screen (132 degrees F).

This monitor is great, i bought it refurbished and works fine but the cooling fan noise is louder than my HP Omen 25L.

Is there a way to set the monitors cooling fan to lower speed to reduce its noise?

    Hey John,

Glad to hear you’re enjoying the HDR on your new Acer Nitro XV275K P3! It sounds like the cooling fan noise is a bit louder than you’d like, though. Unfortunately, as of now, Acer monitors (including this model) don’t have a direct "Auto Fan Speed" setting that you can adjust through the on-screen menu.

However, here are a couple of things you can try to reduce the noise:

    1. Check Ventilation: Make sure the monitor is placed in a well-ventilated area, away from walls or other objects that could block airflow. Better airflow can help keep the internal temperature lower and possibly reduce the need for the fan to run as fast.
    2. Monitor Settings: While there’s no fan control option, you can adjust the brightness or other settings to help reduce heat generation, which might make the fan run less aggressively.
    3. Software Solutions: If you’re connecting to a PC, some third-party software can help you monitor the temperature and possibly adjust settings that could reduce the strain on the monitor.

If the fan noise continues to be an issue, it could be worth reaching out to Acer support to see if they have any additional tips or if there’s an underlying issue with the refurbished unit.

Hope this helps, and let me know if you need anything else!
