Hi,

I can see that this is an issue that has been reported elsewhere, but most of the other conversations seem to be full of "start your own thread" comments, so here I am.

My Spin N19W3 is suddenly showing a black screen. The power is on (I can hear the fan working) and there seems to be something going on in relation to an operating system (the machine beeps whenever things are plugged in or unplugged), but nothing on the screen at all.

I've tried the battery reset pinhole on the back and I've tried the F5 / F6 keys, but so far nothing has helped.

I would be grateful to receive any suggestions.

Thanks

Unfortunately we have no cross reference list between the actual model numbers and those "N19W3" type numbers. A Google search suggests it might be one of the SP513 models, but not which one.

Is there a way to get the model number that you are looking for?

The invoice describes it as "NX.HQUEK.005 Acer Spin 5 Pro Convertible Laptop".

N19W3 is what the sticker on the back says, nect to "model no".

You are just looking at the wrong sticker. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx. In your case the model is one of the SP513-54N versions done for release in Ireland, it looks like. That's a 13" Spin 5 model from 2020. You have an HDMI port on the side of the laptop, do you have access to an external monitor or TV you can connect? If the external display comes up (you may have to hit Windows-P, then a cursor key and enter to blind select an option) then we know we are looking at something related to the internal display. If the external display also doesn't show anything then we likely don't have to dig into display issues, but can focus on the system itself.
