There are two RAM slots that support up to 16GB-3200MHz RAM modules per slot to a total of 32GB RAM (see table)

I recommend you buy exactly the same 8GB RAM that is installed now to get 16GB or replace the RAM with a kit of 2 x16GB that you planned to a total of 32GB, it has to be a kit consisting of two absolutely identical Standard JEDEC modules like this Crucial kit ($54): Crucial 32GB Kit (16GBx2) DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT2K16G4SFRA32A | Crucial.com
