I bought this from a friend because he upgraded the RAM to 12GB. However, I noticed that the maximum screen resolution is only 1366x768 though it has Full HD 1080 sticker at the left bottom part of the screen. Is it possible that the screen has repaired or changed? Thanks!

    Hi @comzee

The resolution of the screen is not dependent on the RAM size, Please share the exact model number of your laptop and the screen shot of the device manager with your display adapter settings.

The Specifications may vary depending on model and/or region..

The correct resolution and refresh rate should be detected automatically. If necessary, change the display settings used by the computer.

Note: To access the display controls, right-click anywhere on the desktop and select Display settings. Or you can. Move your cursor to the lower left-hand corner of thescreen and type 'Resolution' in the text box to display the results; select Change the resolution of the display. Alternatively, you can also right-click anywhere on the desktop and select Display settings >Display.

Could you please share the details.

    Hi @comzee

The current resolution rate is detected as "1366x768x60Hz" - Could you please right-click anywhere on the desktop and select Display settings >Display. and check whether you can see the list of display settings and whether you are able to change the modes of display settings to lower to higher, if not uninstall the driver and do a restart, the operating system should detect the display drivers automatically and get it installed, if not please download the latest drivers from the Acer website below and try updating it and try again:

After updating and trying the above steps Could you please share the details again.

Thanks for your reply. I did uninstall the display adapter driver and restart the laptop. Still, I only get this recommended resolution.

Also, there is no latest driver available for the display adapters from the provided link.

I found the latest graphic driver from intel and installed it. This is what I got. Still, the display resolution is 1366x768.

    Hi @comzee

The full model number is A315-58-397K (2022).

From the device manager, we could find a yellow exclamation mark, it means there could be an issue with the driver. Please follow the below steps to fix the issue.

    1. Download the DDU freeware first.
    2. Boot to Safe Mode and uninstall the Intel iGPU driver with DDU
    3. Reboot the system.

Note: Please do not install any display drivers, especially not with DSA from the Intel site.

Please check the above steps and let us know the status.
