I currently own an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 with the following specifications:
- Intel Core i7-11800H
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
- 16 GB RAM
I’m trying to connect two external monitors to my laptop.
- One monitor is connected via the HDMI 2.1 port and works perfectly, achieving its maximum resolution and refresh rate.
- The second monitor is connected via a Plugable USB 3.0 to DisplayPort adapter, but it is limited to 60Hz despite the monitor supporting higher refresh rates.
I want to enable dual monitors with both running at their native resolutions and refresh rates (one of them is 144Hz). Does my laptop’s USB-C port support DisplayPort Alt Mode? If so, can I connect the second monitor using a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter to achieve higher refresh rates?
If the USB-C port does not support DisplayPort Alt Mode, could you recommend any solutions to achieve dual monitor functionality at high refresh rates?
Thank you in advance for your help!
