I’ve been using WhatsApp Web on my Chromebook for messaging, but I’m curious if it’s possible to make voice or video calls using WhatsApp directly from my Chromebook. From what I know, WhatsApp Web doesn’t seem to support calls—it only allows text messaging, sending media, and managing chats. However, some newer Chromebooks can run Android apps from the Google Play Store.
So, if I install the WhatsApp mobile app on my Chromebook, will I be able to make voice and video calls like I do on my phone? Or will I still need to use my phone for calls while using the Chromebook only for messaging? If anyone has experience using WhatsApp for calls on a Chromebook, I’d love to know how it works and what limitations exist.
