I have a ACER Predator Orion 5000 PO5-600s Gaming PC - Intel® Core™ i7, GTX 1660 Ti, 1 TB HDD & 256 GB SSD

Due memory running short I need to upgrade the M2, to a larger capacity

What size and type make, and model, do you recommend replacing it and is it hard to do for a novice.

I have changed the RAM and put a SSD in the front previously

Kind regards

Mark

Your desktop comes equipped with a single M.2 slot for the SSD and four SATA connectors on the motherboard. You can utilize a M.2 NVMe SSD with a maximum capacity of 2TB in the PCIe slot. The WDC PC SN720 SED 1TB SSD is highly recommended by Benchmark, and the PCIe port supports Gen3 x 4.

Acer lists several M.2 SSD drives for the Predator Orion PO5-600 desktops, with the suitable types being PCIe 3 x4. Among the top choices are the Samsung 970 Plus NVMe and the WD SN750 Black, known for their speed and reliability. It's recommended to opt for these M.2 drives instead of PCIe 4x4, as the desktop won't utilize the Gen 4 M.2 drives' speeds to their full potential.

Also, there is no 2TB limit, though that is currently the best price point… over 2TB the price per GB starts rising.
