Nitro vg270 monitor unable to complete the screen calibration through xbox series s

I purchased an acer nitro vg270 monitor for my xbox series s about a month ago. And although I have the console set to output at 1080p, the monitor looks like its outputting at 1080i. It's important to note that I am unable to complete the screen calibration through the console as I cannot find the relevant settings to adjust, or their equivalents (best I can do is calibrate brightness and contrast, even then, only somewhat successfully). I dont know how to go about this (what monitor settings to adjust, what console settings to adjust). I would be very grateful for any assistance.
