I've got an issue where my Bluetooth Earbuds will successfully connect to my laptop, but they won't be recognized as an audio output device. I contacted Windows support to help me, and they did everything they could to try and fix it, but they had no luck. They said it's possibly an issue with a hardware component, such as the Bluetooth receiver. My computer is an Acer Nitro 5, Model number is Nitro AN515-53. Please help me. I've been trying to fix this for 5 hours…

If pressing the Connect button in action center doesn't find your device in Windows 10, here are some things to try:

Check action center to see if your Windows device supports Bluetooth. If it does, there'll be a Bluetooth button in action center. Make sure it's turned on.

If you don't see the Bluetooth button in action center, try updating your device's driver. Here's how:

Go to Start , enter Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.

In Device Manager, locate your device, press and hold (or right-click) it, select Update driver, select Search automatically for updated driver software, and then follow the rest of the steps.

If Bluetooth is turned on and the driver is up to date but your device still doesn't work, try removing the device and re-pairing it. Here's how:

Go to Start , enter Devices, select Bluetooth and other devices settings > select the device > Remove device > Yes.

    Try pairing again.

Make sure that the Bluetooth-enabled audio device is on and discoverable. How you do this varies with devices, so check the info that came with your device or go to the manufacturers website.

    • Ensure your earbuds are paired and connected.
    • Visit the Acer support website and download the latest Bluetooth drivers for your laptop.
    • Open Device Manager (Win + R, then type devmgmt.msc ), and look for any Bluetooth-related devices. If you don't see any, it could indicate a hardware issue.
    • Visit the Acer support website and download the latest BIOS update for your Nitro AN515-53.
    • If possible, test another Bluetooth device to see if it's recognized as an audio output. This can help determine if the issue is with the earbuds or the laptop.

It didn't work with the other headphones I have either. Does that mean it's a hardware issue?

    @Agniko_Fireking,

Press Win + X, select Command Prompt / Terminal, type command bellow and press [Enter]:

    pnputil /enum-devices /class Bluetooth /drivers > bluetooth.txt

Then, attach here the file bluetooth.txt (located in C:\Users\<UserName>) with your results.

I'm not sure what all of the stuff in here means, but I'm guessing the things that say "outranked" could be an issue?

Your log indicates that the Intel Bluetooth driver is already updated with the latest available version.

Check in Earbuds software (there is an app available for Android) to see if firmware updates are available for your device.

Avoid using long names and special characters to identify your Bluetooth devices. Try to use something with no more than 8 characters. And then try pairing your device again.

I don't have android, so that doesn't really help.
