Folks

My A515-52G does not run Windows 11 very well.

I have upgraded the BIOS to the latest level 1.16, but it still is unsatisfactory.

Can I back out to Windows 10?

Is there a magic command or commands to perform this change?

Hi, there's no need for that, the Acer Aspire 5 A515-52G with an 8th Gen CPU is fully compatible with Windows 11. This model meets all the system requirements for the upgrade, and users have successfully updated it to Windows 11. What are the issues you are having with W11, what version and build is installed and what is the RAM size (if only 4GB you need to add 1x 4GB module to a minimum of 8GB total RAM). Do you still have a mechanical (spinner) HDD, replace that for a much faster 2.5" Sata-3 SSD like the Samsung 870 EVO V-NAND up to 2TB.

    Folks

After much investigation, the issue was the mechanical HDD.

The HDD was not very friendly with Windows 11.

The HDD was replaced with a 1TB SATA.

    The laptop now works perfectly.
