After the last Window 11 update my D: drive went missing.

Tried uninstalling recent windows 11 update done 11/27.

Also after watching some youtube videos on a possible fix did the steps below.

1. sfc /scannow

2. restarted laptop

after restart D drive reappeared but no storage details indicated. it was showing blank.

3. dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

4. restarted again

5. Tried to rescan on disk management then D drive disappeared again

6. Did Software battery reset - image below appeared but after that was finished. D drive was still missing.

Using a Predator PT315-51

Windows 11 Home

Any thoughts???

Do you have an extra HDD installed? If so, the HDD might be failed, resulting in the D disk not being accessible.

Hi, thanks for your response. No. Nothing special. I am just using the regular 1TB HDD + 250GB SSD. The 1TB HDD is the missing D drive.

You can use an app to check the HDD's health.
