I recently had to do a factory reset on my predator pH 18-72 and after the Microsoft Web experience pack updates through MS store the widgets stop working. I know it's not essential but useful to have weather and local news. I've posted in Microsoft support and followed some tips but nothing works. I've replicated the issue on 2 out of box factory installs and a system image I took shortly after getting the laptop 4 months ago. I'm just thinking could it be something specific to this model. I was thinking maybe related to optimus so downloaded Intels latest graphics driver but that didn't fix it. It's like the Web experience update removes my Microsoft account from widgets as there is no sign in option after the update. I rember on one working install there was a Windows app installed called widgets runtime but that doesn't seem to be installed or offered through the MS store or available to download anywhere from the internet

    Hi,

Have you tried updating/reinstalling the Microsoft Edge WebView2 component?

    https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/

To reinstall widgets type cmd bellow in Prompt command (admin Mode) and then press [Enter]:

    winget install –id 9MSSGKG348SP

    Thanks for reply.

I ran a repair on webview 2 and it didn't help. Downloading from your link just confirmed its already installed. Followed all the other tips on Microsoft Community like your other suggestion such as install reinstall widgets. The widgets exe is running but the panel is blank with sign in option removed. I just wondered if anybody with working widgets has this MS store app...widgets runtime deployment installed...cuz I don't and I can't find any tips on how to force install it outside MS store when it's not being offered to me
