Fine, but a computer has many reasons why it doesn't power on, first what model computer do you have, is it a laptop, desktop, AIO, Tablet etc etc, as it could be a power supply, a battery, a power rail etc etc give us more precise information as your question is very basic and the answer can be 10 pages long😁.

Thanks for your reply. It is a laptop. Aspire 3 15, full HD 1080. I see 2 blue lights on the side so I know the power is working, because I unplugged the machine and the second light from the front turned red.

Since I have gotten this computer, I depress the delete key to start up and shutdown the device.

Once again I want to thank you for replying, if there is any other info you need to know, please contact me.

The Aspire 3 15 is not the full model number of your laptop, sorry😁 if its an Aspire 3 laptop its model should be something like and either an A315-xx or if its one of the latest it could be an A315-510P (its written on a sticker stuck on the back of your laptop, its a very simple thing to find out!) as some of these Aspire laptops have a "Battery reset pinhole" that simulates removing and reinstalling the battery and you need to insert a paperclip into the hole on the underside of the laptop and press for four seconds to reset the battery. That is why we need the exact model as some of the Aspire 3 laptops have a battery reset pinhole and some don't and you just have to press the power key for 10 seconds for a battery reset,

But and what I suggest that you do is a Hard Reset for these problem(s) as that is the best solution to fixing these problems as its allot better, which entails opening the laptop and if the laptop is new and under warranty, you should send your model Aspire 3 15 to Acer Tech Support in your country and get them to reset and fix this problem. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Hard Reset for the A315-510P newer models: Place the notebook on flat while lower case should be upwards. Use TORX screwdriver to remove 11 screws of lower case. Open the buckle with a pick, then remove the lower case from the bottom side, take the main battery out and disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and then short the RTC/BIOS batteries mainboard plug + & - pins to reset CMOS and take the ram out, leave the laptop like that for at least 1 hour (preferably overnight) for an older Aspire model while for a new Aspire leave it disconnected for 15minutes and then reconnect everything.

When reconnecting everything back, if you have 2x ram modules only connect 1x ram module first and alternate the ram to see if the ram is not the issue of the laptop not booting properly or its the EC or Chipset chips that are causing this boot issue as this will reset the laptop and the laptop should boot properly.

Thank you. On the back I see ACER Model No. N23C3. I also see A315-24PT-R288. I will probably bring this back to where I purchased the Laptop.

🙏😁 finally, the model number that your laptop is identified by is the A315-24PT as the R288 is a number that signifies the specific specification of your laptop but the Model N23C3 is never used and its an Acer reference number, so be aware of this as you always search anything for your laptop as the Aspire A315-24P model.

Your A315-24P laptop has a reset battery pinhole at the back of the laptop. try to reset the laptop like that first and if that doesn't work do the Hard Reset and if that doesn't work then your laptop has a power rail fault that needs to be checked by an Acer technician or if your laptop is under the Acer 12 months warranty send the Laptop to Acer Tech Support in your country. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
