Acer Nitro V15 Slow Startup after turning On

I have an Acer Nitro V15 and from when I push the power button until the Nitro logo appears takes a little over 4 minutes. It didn't use to do this when I first bought it, but it seems to be having a long time now. Sometimes when I wake it up after being away from the computer for a time it takes a while to wake up too (not that long though).

In those 4 minutes, the keypad lights stay lit, and the fan sometimes revs, but quiets down pretty quickly. I kind of figured that during that time before the logo is usually just the BIOS working, so I checked it. It seems to look okay.

Any ideas?

BIOS Settings: Access BIOS and disable features like Fast Startup or AMD-SVM, which may help improve boot times .

Check for Faulty Peripherals: Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, printers) and see if boot time improves.

Check Hardware Connections: Ensure that all internal components, like RAM and SSD, are securely connected. Loose connections can cause delays.

The Nitro ANV15-51 laptop should definitely not take 4 min until the “acer logo appears” it should take 1 second usually, there is something wrong with the startup files and/or programs or hardware.

Go to Task Manager > Startup apps and disable most of the unnecessary apps that are not required and that you use, also

Or to activate the “Startup Repair” see this guide “How to Boot to Advanced Startup Options in Windows 10/11” and see if that fixes the boot lag problem. Yoiucan also do a clean install of Win-11 and see if that helps.

Do a Startup Repair

If the software mods do not work and fix the long boot problems, you might have a hardware problem like bad M.2 SSD boot drive, ram or a cpu or gpu that is faulty, have your laptop check by a technician. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

The second SSD that was installed at the store had unseated causing the big delay in the boot up while the system does its checks. Problem has been solved. 👍️
