How Can I update the firmware on my Acer XV272U monitor if there's no USB port

I have an Acer XV272U Vbmiiprx monitor (I actually have 2, purchased several years apart). My older monitor does not have the "Maximum Brightness" setting like the newer one does. I suspect a firmware upgrade is needed, but how the heck can I do that when Acer didn't include a USB port on the monitor? Why the heck would Acer NOT put a USB port on a monitor?

Monitor models without USB ports typically have to be sent to a service center for a firmware upgrade, which is the main reason they seldom do firmware changes once a product has launched.
