Changed the boot order, yet it can't boot from my Ventoy USB in Swift SFG14-72

I have changed the boot order…yet it cant boot from my ventoy USB. The USB works fine with my Asus laptop.

    Go into the BIOS, set a supervisor password, and disable the secure boot.

    You need to do a couple of things to allow booting from that flash drive. One is to enable the F12 Boot Menu on the Main tab of the BIOS. Next on the Security tab, use Select an UEFI file as trusted for executing to allow booting form the non-signed EFI file on the flash drive. If you instead disable secure boot then you are wide open to booting from any type of malware EFI file.

    Now, you are using Ventoy to create a bootable drive for something… Normally you don't have to jump through these hoops to boot from an alternate OS, like Linux, because the EFI files supplied are trusted. What did you put on that drive that isn't trusted already? Your machine is new enough that most current Linux distributions will be somewhat problematic, since it takes the Linux developers around a year after new hardware release before all the drivers are included…
