I can't connect my laptop to external monitor via usbc to dp. In user manual they say that the port can handle this. I can connect to my monitor using usbc - HDMI. I tried to reboot the chromebook, tried to use the cable on my different PC (it was working just fine). Do you have any suggestions? Thank you very much!

Spec says you should be able to:

Are you telling the OS that you have a monitor connected?

Hi! I don't know for sure for what are you asking, but I have a chrome os on my Chromebook (the computer where that cable worked was windows). When I connected my CB to the monitor it just said "no connection" and the CB didn't recognize any external monitor through DP.

Nothing, the system doesn't recognize the monitor, only when it is usbc - HDMI cable. The problem is, that I don't know if it is hardware issue or software. But because it can connect through HDMI I assume that it must be somehow blocked by the OS/Bios…

Not even in sound settings, while HDMI connected it shows up a option to use the sound from the connected monitor. When DP connected it shows nothing. Hope it helps
