Its important that you tell us which model Acer desktop you have? As if the GPU option in bios is greyed out and you installed a GPU card into the PCI x16 slot, then either your GPU is not compatible with the mainboard Acer bios and you can only fit the Acer oem GPUs that your desktops bios caters for, or your desktops mainboard only works on the integrated cpu graphics and can’t be upgraded to an optional GPU card, as Acer does not have a bios update to change that option, so be aware of this’

If the later of the above options is the case, then the only other option that you have for a minimal cost upgrade, is to upgrade your mainboard to a similar size and socket cpu board and DDR ram and buy a PSU to fit and work with the new GPU that you want to add to your desktop. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

The main board has a physical jumper that has to actyvated when installed bios contolled so the bios has ho control board control unless the the new jumper will work

On most, if not all, Acer motherboards, there is no jumper. If a GPU card is installed the onboard video is disabled and the GPU card is used. To use the onboard video you have to physically remove the GPU card.
