MY ACER SPIN 3 HAS "NO AUDIO DEVICE IS INSTALLED" MESSAGE

Last night we updated windows and now we have no audio. What should I do? I have already restarted several times; tried full shut down and unplugging; uninstalling audio from device manager and restarting…nothing is working.

Uninstall audio drivers from Device Mgr. Don't try to re-install anything. Exit. Reboot and try letting Windows re-detect and automatically install the drivers.

This also happened me with Spin 3. The sound drivers appearing in Device Manager are Intel High Definition Audio and Intel Display Audio. Uninstalled both and rebooted, this did not fix the problem.

I downloaded the Realtek audio driver from the Acer support site

Download Acer Support Drivers and Manuals | Acer United Kingdom

then ran Setup to install. Audio is now working.

Once you have downloaded the driver, look for the Setup application and open it. It should guide you from there.
