Glitch in my keypad/screen connection causing random blackouts

I've had my notebook for about a month now and I've noticed something that isn't cool. When in my Word documents, I'll be typing, and the screen will spontaneously go black. If I swipe up on the touch pad, it'll do one of two things. It will either go to the home screen where it will ask for my pin, then opens directly into my open document, or I'll swipe up on the home screen and it will go right back to the Word document. I'm afraid the problem is going to worsen and I'm a fulltime college student. Please help!

Step 1:- Try updating BIOS (UEFI) - take care, Power Driver and Video driver. Do a full restart and test. Otherwise if not as aforementioned, get the machine serviced for a hardware error. One reason would be a weak connection to the screen, with the problem caused by the vibrations from your typing.

Step 2:- In MS Office Word, Select Preferences from the drop-down menu and click General under Authoring and Proofing Tools. Then, select the checkbox next to Turn off Dark Mode. If displaying Microsoft Word's built-in Dark Mode didn't do the trick, it's a good idea to check whether Dark Mode is enabled on your device.
