Question about Upgrading BIOS version on an Aspire A514-55

I have an Aspire A514-55 with BIOS version 1.04 (the one installed when I bought the laptop) and Win11. Now I see there is a version 1.25 for the BIOS.

Should I upgrade to this BIOS version to enhance the performance or should I remain with the current one.

Might seem like a silly question but I am not the computer geek keeping track of all pros and cons. Thanks!

Hi @Blodpropp in this case, you should update the BIOS, as it is a security solution against a LogoFail image file attack to attack computers, a serious vulnerability in the UEFI firmware.
If you decide to update, the most important thing is to have the computer connected to the power supply, since an accidental shutdown could leave the computer damaged.

    All the best.
