Uninstall both intel smart sound Bluetooth and USB drivers. Restart the Windows and try connecting the earphones again.

For using the 3.5MM headset with microphone, after plugging the headset, a notification from Realtek Audio shows up, choose headset, and press OK. The input device still show as Microphone Array but it will switch from laptop's microphone to the headset microphone.

@AnhEZ28 , thank you for the answer, but this method doesn't work too, I have faced this before and the result was the same. Also, I currently have no notifications about new connected devices at all.

You can go to the Realtek Audio console app and switch the analog to the Headset.

Can you post a screenshot of the audio input?

What exactly should I show? When I change analog to headset and check the sound, the laptop does not see the input, i.e. cannot hear what I say, but the output works as it should. Anyway, I took a couple of screenshots in different settings:

Yes, if no devices are connected, the laptop's microphone and speakers work as they should.

What is the headset that you use to connect the laptop? If the headset's microphone is detachable, make sure that it is connected properly.

My headset doesn't have detachable microphone, I also use wireless earphones and my laptop doesn't detect any sound when I switch input to their mic

For the wireless earphones, it shows another microphone input for the earphones, right?
