Seeking help to Upgrade Predator G3610 - Motherboard Compatibility and PSU replacement

Hi All

I have a G3610 which i am wanting to upgrade so it can edit my YouTube videos and run more smoothly I have a i7 6700k processor for it someone gave me but I'm not sure which motherboard to get as I don't know which size the case holds plus I would like to keep my cd drive. Also would I need to replace the PSU

    The motherboard size is a microATX. Since you are going to have to replace the motherboard anyway, I'd find a motherboard/CPU/memory combo, or a used full system, rather than buying a motherboard and memory to match that 6th gen CPU. A bundle like that, especially for an older design, is likely to end up cheaper. You shouldn't need to replace either the PSU or case, but any system upgrade will require motherboard, CPU and memory, plus different drivers to match the new hardware.
