After updating my windows on 11th September 2024, my computer stopped working. (tried everything to repaur but failed)
so, installed windows 11 pro (previously using Windows 11 Home)

now, my wifi, Sound, touchpad and such function are not working.

Is this because i upgraded from Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro?

Any solution?

The upgrade to Win-11 Pro should not do anything to your laptop drivers, also it will help if you told us the exact laptop model that you have.

    Try and do this first:

Go to > Device Manager > Network adapters > select the whichever Wi-Fi Card your laptop has > right click the card Properties > Driver > Update Driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer > and then pick the latest Wi-Fi driver that is in that list, and reinstall that driver, as afterwards your Wi-Fi should work, Do this also with the Bluetooth driver.

The other drivers get them from the Acer Supprot page for your laptop as Win-11 Pro should have updated these drivers or scan your operating system again with the windows update and see if these drivers are updated. Get back to us with any more problems.

First try to install the Wi-Fi driver like in the caption above in Device Momager, but first you need to know which Wi-Fi/BT card your Aspire A515-58P has, as its either an Intel AX211 or a AX203 or a AX201 Wi-Fi/BT card and you need to have the correct driver from the Acer Support of the A515-58P driver on a USB so that when you right click the WAN Miniport IPv6 in Device Manager > Network adapters you can install the appropriate Wi-Fi driver as that should work and then you will have a Wi-Fi connection to the internet and the laptop can install all the missing drivers that your laptop doesn't have.

Otherwise, your Win-11 Pro has this annoying Win-11 installation bug of "Lets connect you to a network" that has come up lately with windows installs and NO drivers have been downloaded or installed to connect you to the internet when the Win-11 Pro was installed, so follow this fix at "Let's Connect You to a Network on Windows 11" so that your Aspire A515-58P can go past this section of the Win-11 installation and download all its appropriate drivers, as the way your laptop is now, the laptop only has Win-11 installed but without any of these drivers.

Read the guide above but "Once you see Let’s connect you to a network screen, press Shift + Fn + F10 for Acer laptops so that the cmd prompt comes up, or if the cmd doesn't come up then press the default Shift + F10. This will open the Command Prompt. and you can follow the guide above to be able to install the Wi-Fi driver as the rest will be downloaded and installed automatically by windows update.

Btw, this happened to me on a new Swift laptop that I wanted to install the Win-11 version 23H2 and it drove me crazy until I figured the above out and managed to get past this annoying Wi-Fi detection Win-11 install bug that Microsoft hasn't done anything about. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
