My daughter's ACER aspire 3 overheats then shuts down makes creaking sounds and cannot run more than 15 mins. I guess the issue is that of cooling, though not sure.

It would be more informative if you could tell us what the Aspire 3 laptop model is e.g. like A315-XX etc etc there is a sticker on the back of the laptop that tells you this, as Acer makes thousands of Aspire 3 models and their specs determine allot or the overheating issues that you might be haveing😀.

Overheating issues are caused by many factors but a new laptop especially an Aspire laptop that is not a gaming laptop should not overheat. Send your laptop back to Acer Tech Support in your country and get the laptop fixed under warranty before the warranty runs out.

Note: make sure that the software like Win-11 operating system is up to date, the latest bios is installed as those are very important things that your laptop must have for its hardware to run properly as if its not, it will overheat. Hope this helps you out.
