I have a Aspire TC-875 and suddenly 4 usb ports died. I was told the motherboard is all one unit so cannot be replaced. I am using a splitter from my remaining usb port but what gives?

If your TC-875 desktops ports don't work first go through this guide "What to Do If Your USB Port Stops Working" if that doesn't solve your USB problems, you need to take your TC-875 and get its mainboard diagnosed and fixed for the USB problems otherwise and if these ports cant be fixed it might be cheaper to buy a new mainboard.

Note: The USB ports on a motherboard are primarily governed by the chipset. The chipset is a collection of integrated circuits that manage data flow between the different components of the motherboard. If the chipset is shorted, then you will need a new mainboard as these components can't be bought new and used chipsets can be faulty and useless to buy, unless you buy a parts TC-875 mainboard that its chipset works, which is a lottery. Good luck and hope this helps you out, Ive included a mainboard diagram and the mainboards for the Aspire TC-875 that you could buy online, search with the Acer part number.

New Acer Aspire TC-875 mainboards and Acer part numbers, if you need a new board search the web with the Acer part numbers below:

The Aspire TC-875 mainboard diagram below with all its USB ports positions circled should be checked first if the mainboard is not cracked and its traces are not disconnected which will affect the USB ports from working.
