Swift X SFX14-71G overheating, when playing heavy-load CPU temperature often rise

I am using the Swift X SFX14-71G. While the performance of Intel's 13700H processor and RTX4050 graphics card is excellent, excessive heat generation prevents me from fully utilizing their capabilities.

Currently, I have adjusted the power settings to limit the maximum processor clock to 3.8GHz for the E-core and 2.8GHz for the P-core. This is the average level maintained when I repeatedly run various benchmarks in my environment.

Despite this, when playing heavy-load games, the CPU temperature often rises above 90 degrees, which makes me uneasy. Are there any additional settings on this laptop that I can control to manage this issue?

Also, I'm curious if changing the system usage mode in Acer Sense only controls the maximum fan speed or if it actually affects the power consumption as well.

If my assumption is correct, and the games I usually play run stably on the normal performance mode, there wouldn't be a need to set the turbo mode, which would place a heavy load on the processor.

Uninstall all 3rd-party programs and bloatware. Use Balanced plan and use strictly Windows programs/defaults like Edge and Defender with all security enabled (green tick marks). Check if your Windows11 23H2 version is build 22631.35127. You can increase the fan speed in Acer Quick Access-System Usage Mode Performance mode will cool the laptop better. Make sure you shut down and not suspend the laptop, disable Hibernate.

Other than the current draw from the fan itself, the mode doesn't affect power consumption. Remember though that using the laptop in a manner that requires faster fans means you are running the CPU, GPU and potentially other components at higher power consumption levels than typical, so heavy use will detract from battery powered time. I typically only game with power plugged in. so that's not a factor…

Full speed on the fans typically happens in the upper 80s, with initial throttling in the low 90s. It sounds like it's doing just as it should in that respect. Are you running in Silent Mode, Normal Mode or Performance Mode? The fan tables are different for each mode. I suggest Performance Mode for heavy gaming, though it will have the fans running louder.
