I'm trying to register my new laptop and the system says the ID has already been registered. However, it doesn't show up in my list of registered products.

I understand you would like to register for warranty.     If you are not able to register using a particular browser , try to use an alternative browser and check..

If your laptop is in warranty you can contact the warranty dept.     Go to the website support.acer.com - chose your country.   On the new page - scroll down -  click on "contact support".  Scroll down.  You can find the phone no to contact the warranty dept.    They will help you to register the warranty.

Please visit the website - support.acer.com - chose your country - click on shop.   You can buy desktop, laptop, monitor and accessories.  Alternatively,  on the top right corner you can find the phone no to contact Acer store.   You can get more details about the warranty.

i had this very same issue because the laptop was registered by the previous owner who returned it to the vendor. I bought it as "used" even though it was virtually brand new.

what you need to do is email

    privacy.officer@acer.com

explain the issue along with your SN & SNID which is on the back. I sent a photo of mine. Took 2 days and it was fixed so i could register the laptop under my name

This can also happen if you try to register in a different locale than the one you purchased it in. Make sure you are on the correct global site…
