I have a Chromebook R71T, Model NO N16Q14. The USB 3.0 Ports are broken. Can I buy cheap ones?

on alibaba.com and have them replaced by my friend. Or do I need a specific acer usb port?

I was told those ports also manage sound, not just charging electricity.

Thank you for your help.

The N16Q14 doesn't give us enough information, since they seem to reuse those numbers with different model lines, and the R71T isn't a good number either. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx. I'm thinking you might have a CP311-xxx-xxxx model?

If your model is the Chromebook Spin 11 > R751T (as you indicated above) as the model N16Q14 is not what we use to reference model number for Acer products, then the below USB board is what Acer lists in the Spin 11 > R751T service guide, so search the Acer part number below 55.GPZN7.001 on the web and see if its available as it shouldn't be too expensive. Good luck.
