How can a Rs.1.5 lakh Acer laptop PHN 16-71 persistent, critical software failure justify its price?

First of all I would like to say that Acer should work on their software optimization. I am so irritated that I can't even tell you that I updated predator sense and my keyboard backlight has stopped working and also there is a lot of trouble in changing the mode and this problem is so big that I am not able to work on my system and because of this I am suffering a lot of loss. I tried formatting my system and also did a clean install of windows but nothing worked. Acer please fix this. No one would expect this from a laptop worth Rs. 1.5 lakhs. I have tried troubleshooting in all ways but nothing worked. I have tried everything. Maybe now this will be my last device from Acer. I am feeling very bad.

Hi,

Could you please post the model name of your laptop, like PH5xxx-xx, the version of the PS you have updated to, this version may not be suitable for your model, tell us also what happens when you revert to older version of the PS.

Nah he is not here for help , he just wants to brag of how much a "software engineer" he is ..unable to manage a laptop .😂🤣😅

@brummyfan2 See my laptop model no is PHN 16-71 and I am having Predator Sense 5.0.1341. When I am doing clean install of Predator Sense it is working fine but then through windows update 2 system components are getting updated, first ACER SERVICE SOFTWARE COMPONENTS and second ACER AGENT SERVICE SOFTWARE COMPONENTS both these updated components are of PHN 16-72. Because of this predator sense is not working properly, if we rollback the driver then keyboard lighting starts working and other features also start working.
The funny thing is that I did not find any way by which I can stop windows update from updating the software components.

Do you have RTX4070 or RTX 4050 in your laptop? However, try and see whether stopping WU temporarily helps you, either by Group policy or Registry editing.

How about trying this : Go to Control Panel and unninstall Predator Sense Install/Config(or use a tool to clean it from the system) > also Microsoft Visual C++ 2015_XX > turn off Fast Start Up > restart > install VC++ 2015_XX X64 from https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/ and Predator Sense > restart again and update Windows(optional ones aswell) > restart . Make sure Windows`s Dynamic Lighting isn't turning on by itself(you could also turn it on/off to be sure).

Predator Sense on PH18-72 works fine even updated through Microsoft Store and with optional updates from Windows .
