Predator Orion 5000 Upgrading for Skyrim modding. CPU high while gaming

Hello! In 2022, I bought an Acer gaming PC. Acer - Predator Orion 5000 Gaming Desktop - Intel Core i7-12700F - 16GB DDR5 Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 - 1TB Gen 4 SSD

I play quite a few games on it, but the only issue lies with Skyrim modding. It's absolutely pushing the old game engine that is CPU heavy. I would like to upgrade and see if that helps- at the very least, I need to add more storage space. What would you recommend? My game has quite a bit of stutter and fps drop in high intensity areas with lots of added grass and trees.

I use a LG - 42" Class C2 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV as my monitor.

I'm not very technically savvy - learning as I go here.

Thanks!

You are already running a pretty decent system, I wonder if you are running low on memory in that environment. An upgrade to 32GB might be your best next step. Your CPU has 8 P cores and 4 E Cores. The only CPU upgrade feasible is the i9-12900 which only adds 4 more E cores. I'm guessing the game isn't using full multi-threading, so the few extra cores wouldn't make much difference.

Exactly, Skyrim engine only pushes on one, maybe 2 cores. 😳 I'm debating a video card upgrade...

    Look at your memory usage…
