Hi,

I have an acer nitro 5, I used to have a dell docking station, which worked fine, but I had to give it back to work, as I was leaving the company. I recently bought 2 different hubs from amazon (1, 2). Both of them act same, Keyboard, mouse, external camera, all work fine, but I can't seem to get the monitors to detect.

When I connect the hub to laptop, a no signal pops up on the monitors and then goes blank/rest mode. I have tried using just one monitor, same issue.

I hve tried both hubs on a dell laptop, and working fine, no issues. I'm not sure why they don't on the acer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Actually, when I connect the laptop, monitors do nothing, just a beep and then quick 2nd beep - after whch mouse, keyboard start working.

    to summarise:
Dell docking station works fine on both laptop, the amazon ones only work on the dell laptop fine, but on acer, monitors don't get detecte, other accessorries work.

You don't tell us just which Nitro 5 model you have. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like AN5xx-xxx-xxxx. Are you connecting your docks to a USB 3.0 port or to a USB-C? Does you model have a TBT port instead of USB-C? If so it should have the lightning bolt symbol next to it…

    Thanks for the reply.

It's a acer nitro 5, AN515-55-562X, connecting to a usb-c port and it does not have the TBT port. it only has HDMI, 3x USB, 1x USB-C, LAN and a port with a 'k' sign next to it. I have previously (using the dell dock) used the USB-C and one of the USB port, and it worked just fine.

I have also bought a 100W usb-c charger for these amazon docks to see if it does anything, but no difference. If I take out the HDMI cable form thre dock and put it back on, a 'no signal' message shows and then goes blank.
