I left my laptop plugged in overnight and when I woke up it won't turn on at all. (I did have a surge protector on it)

I've tried the removing power lead, turning it on and holding the power button but it doesn't seem to be working. I also can't find a reset button on the back.

When I do plug it in there is a light for the power lead being in but no other lights turn on.

Any advice greatly appreciated. I am disabled so my laptop is so essential. Thank you so much!

    Try the following steps:

    1. Disconnect the Power: Unplug the laptop and remove the battery (if possible).
    2. Hold the Power Button: Press and hold the power button for 30-60 seconds to discharge any residual power. (DO this 2-3times)
    3. If above methods not work then remove rams and ssd then follow above battery reset method again

In last insert everything and check

This model does not have a battery reset pinhole in the back. Depending on if the warranty is still running you should bring the laptop to Acer Services in your country to reset the system or if you are not concerned with the warranty you can open the back of the laptop and disconnect the battery from the motherboard, close the back and try to boot without battery, if that did not help you can try to reset the CMOS, check the RAM modules seating and do a power drain with the power button, all without connecting the battery: Locate the round CMOS module with the 2 black and red twisted wires often located under the battery and take the CMOS coin battery out, connect (short) the +/- contacts inside the CMOS module with a bended paperclip or short piece of electric wire for a few seconds (the - contact is at the bottom and the + contact is on the side inside the CMOS capsule) and put the coin battery back in the CMOS module with the + sign facing up, that will reset the CMOS/BIOS. Check if the RAM modules are firmly seated/secured and hold down the power button for 10 seconds to discharge any static buildup on the motherboard. Reconnect the battery, close the back of the laptop and plug in the adapter, the blue power LED and amber battery LED should turn on. Try to boot. If still no results you may have a dead battery, when did you last replace it?
