My first post here, so hi to all.

When I set my Nitro 5 AN517-42-R5KZ to performance in Nitrosense it stays that way until I shut it down. Upon starting up, Nitrosense has reverted back to the default setting. How can I stop this? Is it a conflict between Nitrosense and other settings? Does it require an update or a reinstall, or is it something else entirely?

I bought this laptop new in Dec. 2023. It's running an AMD Ryzen 7 6800h with a Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 on Windows 11 Home Ver. 23H2. The current Bios version is: Insyde Corp. V1.12, 6/15/2023

I've previously looked at the Bios update page on the ACER site, and unless I didn't understand what I was looking at, the version I have isn't the latest. Also, while I haven't checked out any driver updates for the processor, it wouldn't surprise me to find my machine behind there too. I'm pretty sure the GPU driver is good to go because Nvidia Control Panel makes that pretty easy for a caveman…

I haven't done anything in the UEFI or performed a bios update because frankly I'm a bit intimidated by the software end of computers. I can learn. I'm fully confidant, for instance, that I could put together a desktop. The hardware part, that is. But software makes me nervous.

And ever since I read that ACER basically washes their hands of it when it comes to bios updates, I kind of got scared off. If there's any other info needed, just sing out. Thanks in advance!
