I have a Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 PHN16-71 Laptop, and I want to upgrade my RAM. I don't know the last four characters of the model, but I do know the specs. CPU: Intel Core i7-13700HX, GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050, RAM: 16GB.

I want to upgrade my RAM to 32GB, but I have two questions:

  1. What is the preexisting RAM installation?

I read somewhere that there are two slots on my computer for RAM, so I want to know if this laptop has 2x8GB or 1x16GB preinstalled.

2. What RAM should I get?

What DDR? What are the minimum and maximum MHz? Is there a specific one you'd recommend?

Please ask if you need any more information on my laptop or what I'm looking for.

You can see in Predator Sense and BIOS if it has 1x or 2x sticks of RAM , 5600MHz 32x(2x16) DDR5 SODIMM will work for sure , i've seen others installing 2x32 5200MHz ( i don't know if the RAM had 5200MHz or it was 5600MHz and went down at 5200MHz ) . Do not buy RAM with XMP profiles ( it will go down at 4800MHz or not work at all ) .
You can take a look at Crucial or Kingston .
