I bought an Acer Icona A10 tablet (model Number A22002). In setting it up I ran into a problem when it asked to confirm password in that the tablet was not responding. I restarted it and now it's asking me for the log on password. This is before I was to setup email etc.

Looking online I am seeing that you use the power and volume buttons to and choose from the menu that appears at start up to factory reset. However, my menu is in Chinese (was able to use an app to translate) and there is no option to reset (bunch of testing and clear storage options).

Using the Clear storage option do not elicit a response.

If i download the OS and reinstall from a SD card can this fix this issue? Or is there any other way to fix this?

I have never done this reloading for a tablet (but have significant experiences reloading and repairing PCs) but think I can do this, but don't want to risk this if it's not a viable solution

Would be grateful for any help

There are several different Iconia A10 models, and the A22002 doesn't help since we don't have a cross reference for those numbers. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like A10-xxx-xxxx. Where did you purchase the tablet? it's very unusual for them to not use the correct language for all menus…
