Can I use Samsung 990pro heatsink model nvme ssd with my Nitro 5 an515-45 model device? Does the cooler model fit into the case?

No, the Samsung 990 Pro PCIe4x4 M.2 SSD with its oem heatsink is too thick for the AN515-45 back cover to close if you fit that M.2 SSD drive into any slots. You can use either a good graphite thermal pad that you can stick on top of the M.2 SSD drive or Acer does have a special MYLAR GRAPHITE SHEET type heat wrap to wrap their M.2 SSDs that disperse heat off M.2 SSD drives that they fit to the newer Nitro model laptops oem, I've included the wrap details below.
