Helios Neo 16 Laptop iGPU displaying artifacts / glitches when updating iGPU driver, faulty laptop?

I tried to update my Intel iGPU driver on my Helios Neo 16 as I am unable to use it for hardware decoding for a browser due to odd behavior such as flashing when on YouTube when using the stock supplied driver.

I have tried multiple driver versions for the intel UHD graphics but I get the following problems shown in the gif below, I am able to roll back the drivers to the manufacturer supplied which seems to stop the graphical hitching, but this driver isn't perfect as I can still experience odd colour when using the laptop screen.

I am unsure if this is a fault with the iGPU and the laptop needs to be RMA'd?

The issue isn't with your laptop being faulty or having a bad GPU. It occurs because Acer laptops don't function correctly with Intel's official drivers. You need to continue using the Intel VGA driver provided by Acer for your laptop. You can update the NVIDIA driver from the NVIDIA support site.

yep dont update the drivers for intel and acer doesnt care to update after one point and if u do optional update in windows then ur cooked it might cause serious issues , stay with the support page drivers

Just some additional advice, and you can take this as you will? I've never had problems with the Intel official graphics drivers that are updated by the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant, which I've always used, the only thing with having the latest Intel Official Graphics version driver, is that Windows Update rolls back the Intel driver to an older driver that whatever Win-11 deems the appropriate version as appropriate, so you need to keep an eye on this driver rollback to make sure that you have the latest driver. Btw, my Nitro 5 with the i7-11370H cpu runs latest Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics Version: 31.0.101.5592 without any problems and I've been doing this since I got the laptop and never use d the Acer or Windows drivers.
