My 2 years old Aspire 5 laptop that's running Windows 11 has decided to take a long time (approx 5 minutes) to shutdown.

Can anyone suggest a fix?

Thank you

Yes, open MSconfig.exe (Windows key+R and type MSconfig) select Safe Boot and disable all NON-WINDOWS services, click on APPLY and click on OK. Reboot and check the shutdown time. Then you have to enable some or each individual service in MSconfig and click on Apply and OK then reboot each time you enabled a service till he shut down slows down and you will have found the service and program that causes the problem. At the end you have to UNCHECK SAFE BOOT click and on APPLY and OK otherwise you stay in a loop.
