Laptop standby indicator only blinking once while holding the power button if not charging. While on charging if i hold the power button the standby indicator blink once and stops charging, I can see by the charging indicator, after some time 4 to 5 sec standby indicator blinks again and charging starts but laptop screen doesn't light up even though many times I pressed the button. It was running perfectly yesterday.

This one-year-old laptop model does not have a battery reset hole at the back and I don't recommend opening the laptop to try reset the CMOS so the best advice is bringing the laptop to Acer Services in your country to reset the system to factory default under warranty.

I've included some information and diagrams for the Aspire A715-76G service guide, below is the battery LED lights indicator description of what is happening while the laptop is plugged into the adapter and charging at different stages.

As you have tried everything to power this laptop on, I would do a simple rest by removing the eleven (11) screws from the base cover and getting into the laptop and just doing a simple disconnecting of the main battery and then reconnect the battery, and then try to power the laptop on, as doing this simple battery rest will not void your warranty and this will do a simple reset of the bios also and should fire your laptop on once again and you shouldn't have any more problems. If you do have further problems and your latop is under warranty, then you need to take your laptop to Acer tech support so that they can inspect this laptop and analyze what the power on problems is. Good luck.

Acer replaced the motherboard, the problem was in the motherboard.

i am also facing the same issue that i can not turn on the laptop without plugging in the the charger. once i plug in charger than only it starts and after that i can use it normally . there is no issue with the battery or power button as it is working normally as the laptop starts.

Hi shashikant010. You need to do a hard reset as it could be that your super IO or bios chip might be frozen, take the back cover off and disconnect the main and bios batteries and take the ram out also, leave them disconnected for about 15 mins and reconnect all and reboot the laptop, as and if the above is the problem, then that should reset everything and reboot your laptop. After the laptop reboots make sure that all your drivers are up to date and your bios is up to date also. If the hard reset doesn't work then there are many problems that could be happening like the laptops eDP cable and plug is faulty, the screen is faulty which need to be checked and analyzed and fixed by an experienced tech.
